The Eric Dean Gallery at Wabash College became a pilgrimage cathedral, of sorts, in April of 2013. Elegiac presence of scorched and toppled objects welcomed viewers onto a path of pseudo chapels, filled with seven artist books, seven videos, and seven sets of 7 paintings each, as well as two chests filled with hundreds of small signposts–all referencing the experience of being unexpectedly displaced, transition, pilgrimage, and the quest for home.
